Science backed
What for?
As we are born to be engineers, we can't go forward until we understand fundamental principle.
We owe a lot upon this two studies.
["How hair deforms steel", MIT, 2020]
["What Causes Razor Blades To Dull", Knife Steel Nerds, 2021]
How it works?
In MIT paper, they clearly reveal that hair really do deforms steel.
In Knife Steel Nerds study, he shave more than 140 times and found that deform ratio is just 5.6%
He also said, "Cleaning is the keypoint to prevent blade deforming"
And MIT Material Science professor Thomas W.Eagar
also said "Razor blade is designed to use more than 6 months if it managed well"
Did big3 brand know this too?
If they don't know this, I'd be about as surprised as finding a Starbucks on a New York street corner.
Do i really use it for 6 months?
My Fusion5 is 7 months old, started to crack weeks ago.
So don't use it over 6months.
And if you are Chewbacca, you could change bit faster.
But in our studies, the thickness and stiffness is key factor than the number of hair.
How much i can save exactly?
If you do shave 1 out of 2 for 70 years, it is 12740 time during life time.
Safety 700$
Disposable 2,400$
Fusion5 2,540$
Electric(Low End) 2,775$
Electric(High End) 5,275$
razorvase+ Fusion5 60+211=271$
What a PROFIT?
